Job Title: Pharmacist Assistant

Join Metro, a leading Canadian retailer, as a Pharmacist Assistant in our pharmacy department. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and providing patient care.
  • Receive and process prescription refill requests and verbal prescriptions.
  • Manage patient profiles, scan and file patient records, and maintain accurate records.
  • Communicate with prescribers, patients, and other healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering phone calls, and responding to customer inquiries.
  • Perform inventory management tasks, including receiving and storing products, and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
  • Enter and reconcile invoices, maintain shrink logs, and perform other administrative tasks as required.
Requirements:
  • Pharmacy Assistant Program diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in retail pharmacy.
  • Proficient in current PC systems, MS Office programs, and pharmacy software (Kroll).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Customer service skills to provide exceptional patient care and service.
