About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to join our team at Northwood Plaza Hotel and Banquet Room. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our hotel rooms, public areas, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, make beds, and change sheets.
  • Housekeeping Services: Distribute clean towels and toiletries, stock linen closets, clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, and disinfect operating rooms and other areas.
  • Guest Services: Handle and report lost and found items, attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items, and provide basic information on facilities.
  • Facilities Support: Pick up debris, empty trash containers, launder clothing and household linens, mend clothing and linens, and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
  • Support for Persons with Disabilities: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports persons with disabilities, offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for persons with disabilities, and provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees, assist with immediate settlement needs, support social and labour market integration, and recruit newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster.
  • Support for Youth: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment, offer on-the-job training, offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for youth, and provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people, offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, and provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports members of visible minorities, apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination, offer mentorship programs, and provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
