About the Role:

As an Automation Systems Specialist, you'll play a vital role in maintaining our state-of-the-art Order Storage and Retrieval and automated order picking systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain safety, quality, efficiency, and equipment reliability for industrial, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Provide industrial, electrical, and mechanical expertise to maximize equipment utilization and performance.
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctioning low-voltage electrical and mechanical operating systems, equipment, and components.
  • Assist in inventory audits of spare parts to ensure availability of replacement parts and equipment.
  • Advise the Sr. Facility Maintenance Manager of hazards, defects, or unsafe conditions on or off the equipment.

Requirements:

  • Journeyman Certified Electrician (442A or 309A).
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in a similar role, working as a team with other electricians and industrial mechanics.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions.
  • Proficiency on industrial machinery, mechanical equipment, and components, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems, compressors, conveyors, and material handling systems.

Working Conditions and Environment:

  • Night shift: Sunday to Thursday 8:30pm – 5:00am.
  • Appreciation of cultural diversity.
  • Physical requirements may be: Sitting, squatting, walking, reaching out to arm's length, reaching over-head, lifting between 25-50 pounds, climbing stairs and ladders, reading.
