At North York General Hospital, we are committed to excellence in patient care. As a Cleaner - Environmental Services, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general housekeeping activities, including dusting, sweeping, and mopping floors, to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Operate cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and auto scrubbers, to ensure effective cleaning.
  • Collect and dispose of waste and recyclables in a responsible and environmentally friendly manner.
  • Restock supplies and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure a smooth and efficient cleaning process.

Requirements:

  • Grade XII diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous cleaning experience, preferably with microfiber systems.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow written instructions in English.
  • Good understanding of chemical and equipment use, including vacuum cleaners, auto scrubbers, and carpet extractors.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong customer service skills.
