About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering Manager to join our team at IATA Consulting. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in building and running multiple cloud-based data solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, deploy, and maintain scalable and efficient data processing pipelines using AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, S3, EMR, and Snowflake.
  • Data Integration: Develop, optimize, and maintain Talend Data Integration jobs, as well as manage the Talend platform (DI, MDM, DQ, Stewardship).
  • Analytics Integration: Integrate with analytics and BI tools like Power BI and Tableau.
  • Data Access and Security: Support data scientists and analysts in accessing and querying data using AWS Athena and Snowflake, and manage data access controls using AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), Lake Formation, and Snowflake.
  • Infrastructure Management: Provision and manage AWS resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor data pipelines and infrastructure using AWS CloudWatch and other monitoring tools, and implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, including automated testing, versioning, and deployment of data solutions.
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure data privacy, compliance, and security throughout the solution lifecycle.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other engineering teams to integrate data solutions into applications.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in a technical field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of AWS services, particularly in the context of data processing (e.g. Lambda, Step Functions, S3, Athena, Glue, Lake Formation, EMR, CloudFormation), proficiency in SQL and Python, experience with mainstream data integration/ETL platforms, and experience with CI/CD tools and general DevOps practices.
