Key Responsibilities
  • Dispense prescribed medications to customers or healthcare professionals
  • Advise customers on medication use, including indications, contraindications, and potential interactions
  • Maintain accurate medication profiles, including registry of poisons and controlled substances
  • Order and maintain stock of pharmaceutical supplies
  • Compound prescribed medications by calculating, measuring, and mixing ingredients
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of pharmacy staff
Requirements
  • Pharmacy Examining Boards of Canada Certification
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
  • Certification for drug administration by injection and intranasal route
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
