Job Title: Server - Food and Beverage Services

We are seeking a skilled Server to join our team at Skye Avenue - Kitchen & Lounge. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Food and Beverage Service: Prepare and serve specialty food and beverages to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Customer Service: Greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages.
  • Order Taking and Relay: Take orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service.
  • Payment and Settlement: Present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit, or debit cards.
Personal Suitability:
  • Flexibility: Be adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organized: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring a smooth service experience.
  • Team Player: Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to provide exceptional service.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees:
  • Cultural Competency: Provide cultural competency training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
  • Mentorship Programs: Offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and refugees with experienced employees.
  • Language Training: Facilitate access to language training and skills training for newcomers and refugees.
Support for Indigenous People:
  • Cultural Awareness: Provide cultural awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.

Work Environment: 40 hours per week, permanent position, English language.
