Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various welding tasks, including operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications, and ensuring that welds meet standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welding Operations
    • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to join metal parts together
    • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, and manuals
    • Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications
  • Metal Fabrication
    • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment to cut metal
    • Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines
    • Fabricate metal parts and assemblies
  • Equipment Maintenance
    • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in welding or a related field
  • Language
    • English language proficiency
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work 30 hours per week in a permanent position.
