About the Opportunity

In this role as a Senior INTools Wiring Designer at Firebag Technical Solutions, you will be part of a dynamic team that provides project planning, engineering design, and project management services to the Oil and Gas industry.

Job Description
  • You will participate in all areas and phases of small and mid-sized projects from inception to completion.
  • As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for designing layout and location drawings, wiring and loop drawings using SPI (INTools), maintaining project deliverables using SmartPlant Instrumentation tools, preparing Bills of Material, and reviewing SPI Redline incorporation of Instrument Index, Instrument Datasheets, Instrument Loop Drawings, and Instrumentation.
  • You will ensure all drawings are in agreement with the latest vendor print, perform other duties as requested, and meet safety requirements to attend site visits.
Requirements
  • An Engineering degree/Technology certification in Instrumentation/Controls or Electrical is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Instrument/Control System Designer position in the Oil and Gas industry is required.
  • You must have experience in Instrumentation and Control design including 2D CADD, and 3D Modeling (PDS and PDMS).
  • A minimum three (3) years of solid experience on Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI) at a super-user level is required.
  • You should operate with minimal supervision, work within a multi-disciplinary team including Project, Control System, and Electrical, and possess strong analytical, communication (oral & written), and troubleshooting skills.
