Job Title: Commercial Legal Counsel

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Legal Counsel to join our team at the Government of Alberta. As a key member of our legal services team, you will provide expert legal advice and support to our clients, ensuring that their legal needs are met in a timely and effective manner.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in commercial law, with experience in areas such as contract law, corporate law, and litigation. You will be responsible for providing legal advice and guidance to our clients, as well as representing them in court and other legal proceedings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert legal advice and guidance to clients on commercial law matters
  • Represent clients in court and other legal proceedings
  • Conduct research and analysis on complex legal issues
  • Develop and implement legal strategies to achieve client goals
  • Collaborate with other legal professionals to ensure effective and efficient delivery of legal services
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) degree
  • At least 4 years of experience in commercial law
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
