Job Summary:

The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that all food is prepared and served to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and implement efficient work schedules to meet the needs of our customers
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all food is prepared and served in a timely and efficient manner
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand
  • Ensure that all food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform inventory management and budgeting decisions
  • Supervise and check the assembly of trays to ensure that all food is presented in a visually appealing manner
  • Establish work schedules to ensure that all staff are aware of their duties and responsibilities
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Experience in a food service environment, preferably in a supervisory role
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports
