Nationwide Natural Foods: Accounting Bookkeeper

We are seeking an experienced accounting bookkeeper to join our team at Nationwide Natural Foods. This role will be based in our office, with the primary focus on maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
  • Prepare and reconcile bank statements, as well as other financial reports as required.
  • Process payroll, including calculating payrolls, preparing cheques, and managing benefits.
  • Reconcile cash and credit card transactions, and prepare related reports.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficient in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Xero.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Working Conditions:
  • This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail and be able to work independently.
  • A valid driver's license is preferred, as occasional travel may be required.
