Senior Accountant Job Description

Job Summary:
A Senior Accountant is required to join our team at CB Canada. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial reporting skills and have experience with financial analysis and accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Reconcile and revalue bank accounts for all entities
• Record and reconcile inter-company and related-party transactions and prepare reports
• Perform various reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reporting
• Research and analyze transactions to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial reporting
• Assist with month-end closings and complete month-end tasks as assigned
• Prepare consolidated financial statements and assist with note disclosures and supporting documents
• Perform financial reporting variance analysis
• Participate in the implementation of process improvements and development of value-added reports, including creating new and improving existing working papers
• Liaise with external auditors and assist with quarterly and YE audits
• Provide financial information to both external and internal users
• Assist with budget planning
• Assist with tax filings
• Maintain financial security by following internal accounting controls
• Maintain financial historical records by filing accounting documents
Requirements:
• Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including knowledge of GAAP
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports
• Analytical skills, and extreme attention to detail
• Time management and priority management skills
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Self-starter requiring limited supervision and a desire to work in a team environment
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite programs and an advanced Excel user
• Experience with ERP systems and database systems is highly preferred
• Working with other members of the Accounting team to ensure goals and objectives are met
