Job Summary

TORONTO SKY AVIATION INC. is seeking an experienced Electrical Motor Technician to join our team. As an Electrical Motor Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of industrial electric motors, including winding, assembling, and installing various types of coils.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use machining tools to fabricate or recondition parts
  • Replace or recondition shafts, bearings, commutators, and other components
  • Weld or braze components
  • Wind, assemble, and install various types of coils
  • Interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and blueprints
  • Check final assembly for adherence to quality control standards
  • Assemble winding into core and make electrical connections
  • Assemble and fit metal and prefabricated parts to close tolerances according to blueprints
Requirements
  • Electrical Mechanic Trade Certification
  • Motor Winder Trade Certification
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in electromechanical maintenance and repair
  • Ability to distinguish between colours
  • Manual dexterity
  • Fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Hand-eye co-ordination
  • Sound discrimination
