About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Anatomical Pathologist to join our team at Alberta Precision Laboratories Ltd. as a Diagnostic Expert in Laboratory Medicine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and Interpret Diseases: Conduct thorough microscopic and chemical analyses of laboratory samples and specimens to diagnose diseases and physiological disorders.
  • Conduct Medical Research: May conduct medical research on human disorders, illnesses, preventive or curative methods, and stay up-to-date with developments in specialized fields such as medicine, science, and technology.
  • Supervise Laboratory Activities: Supervise laboratory activities, including ordering laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures, and ensure accurate and timely results.
  • Consult with Other Physicians: Act as consultants to other physicians, providing expert advice and guidance on disease diagnosis and treatment.
  • Prepare Research Papers: Prepare research papers for publication and presentation, showcasing expertise and contributing to the advancement of medical knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry, and relevant certifications such as the Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC) and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in a related field, with a strong background in laboratory medicine and disease diagnosis.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
