About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Services Associate to join our team at Servus Credit Union. As a Financial Services Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting our members with all their banking needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare documents for member meetings and provide regular proactive contact and follow-up with members.
  • Handle discussions with walk-in members and perform a variety of administrative and branch support activities.
  • Process daily banking transactions and recommend products and services to ensure our members feel good about their money.
  • Proactively gather and document all pertinent information required for the Financial Advisor to have a robust conversation.
  • Review personal accounts for completeness, accuracy, and ensure they are fully compliant.
  • Open and review new accounts, following up with members as per member service guidelines.
  • Prepare and enter loan application information.
  • Support branch activities to grow new memberships and strengthen our financial relationship with existing members.
  • Clearly and skillfully differentiate between credit union and competitor products and services.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of retail banking or sales experience in addition to a high school diploma.
  • Post-secondary education in Finance (or related studies) is an asset.
  • IFIC certification is also valuable.
