The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in family medicine and excellent communication skills. You will work closely with other medical professionals to evaluate patients' physical and mental health, prescribe and administer medications, and provide counsel on health care.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients' physical and mental health through consultations with other medical practitioners
  • Preset and administer medications and treatments as required
  • Inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases
  • Advise patients on health care and wellness
  • Report births, deaths, contagious, and other diseases to government authorities
  • Provide acute care management and coordinate primary patient care
  • Counsel and support patients and their families on health and lifestyle issues
Requirements
  • Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry from an accredited institution
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
  • College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
