Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Engineering and Capex to join our team at St Marys Cement Canada. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of engineering and capital expenditure projects that drive business growth and improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement feasibility studies, budgeting, and approval requests for engineering and capital expenditure projects.
  • Oversee the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and quality assurance, ensuring that projects are delivered in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, environmental, and safety, to ensure that projects are delivered in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies, including scope development, bidding, and bid reviews.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or business administration.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of delivering complex engineering and capital expenditure projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of engineering and construction principles, including feasibility studies, budgeting, and project management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as MS Project.
