Job Summary

Skyworks is a leading innovator of high-performance analog semiconductors, powering the wireless networking revolution. We are seeking a talented RF Application Engineer Co-op to join our Diversified Analog Solutions team in Ottawa.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist application engineering group members with customer support activities.
  • Contribute to new integrated circuit and module product test activities.
  • Lab test RF circuits, present test results, and participate in customer SCH/Layout reviews.
  • Complete small projects and task assignments of varying complexity, including device characterization, test environment programming, and documentation.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a BS or MS Electrical Engineering (or related) degree program.
  • Knowledge of basic electronic circuits and principles.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PPT, and Word) and aptitude for quickly learning company-specific software.
  • Knowledge of RF parameters (insertion loss, return loss, harmonics, IMD, IIP2/3, VSWR, NF, etc.) is preferred.
  • Experience with test equipment and tools such as multi-meter, oscilloscope, VNA, spectrum analyzer, RF sources, and soldering tools is preferred.
  • Good communication, organization, and documentation skills, with a willingness to work in a lab hands-on environment.
