Job Title: Senior Property Insurance Risk Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Property Insurance Risk Specialist to join our team at Northbridge Financial Corporation. As a key member of our risk management team, you will be responsible for promoting and delivering advanced risk management techniques to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize loss exposure and trends
  • Conduct site assessments and customer interviews to identify hazards and controls for risks
  • Collaborate with Underwriting and Brokers to develop best practices and provide expert advice
  • Provide training and education programs to customers on risk management techniques
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education and/or industry-specific experience in engineering or engineering technology
  • Minimum 5-8 years industry experience as a risk consultant or in a related engineering or engineering technology field
  • Working knowledge of NFPA standards and fire/building codes
  • Experience in assessing commercial automobile fleets is an asset
  • Level 1 Infrared thermography certification is an asset
  • Experience in agricultural and/or course of construction (COC) risk is an asset
  • Advanced level of skill and knowledge understanding of risk and insurance management
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions, be outdoors and potentially be able to climb ladders
