Technical Director of Engineering

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Director of Engineering to join our team at IBI Group. As a key member of our engineering leadership team, you will be responsible for providing technical direction and oversight on complex projects, as well as developing and implementing technical strategies to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and direction on projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and implement technical strategies to drive business growth, including identifying new opportunities and developing solutions to meet client needs.
  • Manage technical risk mitigation, safety, and value in design processes, ensuring that projects are delivered with minimal risk and maximum value.
  • Develop and deliver integrated design programs and key performance milestones and reports at all stages, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and to the required quality standards.
  • Assist in the technical development of staff, coaching and mentoring on technical issues, and providing guidance on best practices and industry trends.
  • Establish and consolidate relationships with clients, both during and after project completion, ensuring that their needs are met and that they are satisfied with the services provided.
  • Use technical knowledge to identify and realize new client opportunities, developing solutions that meet their needs and drive business growth.

Requirements

We are looking for a highly experienced Technical Director of Engineering with a strong background in municipal roadway engineering and a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget. You will have a strong understanding of technical risk mitigation, safety, and value in design processes, as well as experience in developing and implementing technical strategies to drive business growth.
