Housekeeping Manager Job Description

At STOKE MOTEL, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance in our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Select and purchase equipment and supplies to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Plan and coordinate activities of housekeeping supervisors and crews to ensure efficient operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of assigned areas to identify and address any issues.
  • Supervise staff to ensure they are meeting the highest standards of cleanliness and customer service.
  • Ensure that safety standards and departmental policies are met at all times.
  • Supervise maintenance and repair services to ensure that all facilities are well-maintained.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and appraisals to ensure staff are meeting their full potential.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, and uniforms to ensure that all staff have what they need to do their job effectively.
  • Supervise in-house laundry services to ensure that all linens and uniforms are clean and well-maintained.
  • Coordinate in-house laundry services to ensure that all facilities are well-maintained.
  • Schedule and assign duties of housekeeping staff to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Respond to complaints of guests in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of organization.
  • Client focus and ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Dependability and reliability in meeting deadlines and commitments.
  • Efficient interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with staff and management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Initiative and ability to take ownership of tasks and projects.
