Job Summary

HOPE MECHANICAL & HYDRAULICS LTD is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing heavy equipment, including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and mechanical transmissions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair heavy equipment
  • Diagnose faults and malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks
  • Verify and repair emission control systems
  • Perform other routine maintenance tasks
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in heavy equipment repair
  • Specialized knowledge of diesel engine repair, powered equipment repair, and mechanical maintenance and repair
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment
