We are seeking a skilled Utility Worker to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our hospital environment.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning and maintaining all areas of the hospital, including floors, walls, and surfaces
- Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and machinery
- Assisting with floor care, including scrubbing and waxing floors
- Shampooing carpets and chairs
- Removing waste and recyclables
- Assisting with chemical spill cleanups and other environmental hazards
- Performing laundry tasks and room set-ups
- Assisting with window cleaning and other maintenance tasks
You will work closely with our facilities management team to ensure that our hospital environment is safe, clean, and well-maintained.
About YouWe are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is able to work independently and as part of a team. You will have:
- Grade 12/GED or equivalent work experience
- Effective communication skills
- Preference will be given to applicants with cleaning and floor care experience
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

$20.02 Hourly
