Job Summary:

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse/Infirmier Auxiliaire Autorisé.e to join our team. As a LPN/Infirmier Auxiliaire Autorisé.e, you will apply the nursing process to support clients/residents/patients in achieving and maintaining their optimum level of health within a people-centered care approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply the nursing process to support clients/residents/patients in achieving and maintaining their optimum level of health
  • Work to full scope of practice, engage in ongoing education and maintain competency congruent with Southern Health-Santé Sud policies, Professional Standards of Practice, College of Licensed Practical Nurse of Manitoba Code of Ethics, Competency Profile for Licensed Practical Nurses in Manitoba and the Regulated Health Professions Act
  • Exercise the appropriate level of initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods to be employed and action to be taken on unusual matters

Requirements:

  • Proficiency of both official languages is essential (English/French)
  • Current active registration with the College of License Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Acute, Transitional, PCH, Primary Health Care, Public Health-Healthy Living, Home Care)
  • Knowledge of Professional Standards of Practice, Competency Profile for Licensed Practical Nurses in Manitoba and Code of Ethics

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to complete and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check and Child Abuse Registry Check, as appropriate. All Health Care workers are required to be immunized as a condition of employment in accordance with Southern Health-Santé Sud policy.
