Job Title: 4th Class Power Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled 4th Class Power Engineer to join our team at a reputable food manufacturing company in Port Coquitlam, BC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repair of production equipment as per work order requests, equipment stoppages, or breakdowns.
  • Adhere to and utilize company policies and procedures, as well as HACCP regulations.
  • Ensure a safe work environment for co-workers, customers, and visitors.
  • Monitor and maintain all mechanical equipment and systems in the plant, performing daily pre-operational inspections and repairs as necessary.
  • Responsible for boiler operation of a high-pressure boiler.
Requirements:
  • 4th Class Power Engineer ticket.
  • At least 1 year of experience with maintenance/mechanical, ideally within manufacturing.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Ability to lift 30-40 lbs.
  • Ability to use power and manual tools.
  • Basic computer knowledge and math skills.
  • Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good attendance and work ethics.
