Senior Power Engineer

Your new role:
This role will be responsible for overseeing the steam boiler and pressure at the manufacturing site. Additionally, you will be training and leading the team, which includes the Utility Shift Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer, and Operations Maintenance Coordinator. As a leader on the site, it is expected that you foster a Health and Safety culture, lead continuous improvement of powerhouse operations, demonstrate team competence, and leverage problem-solving tools. You will also need to analyze plant performance data to identify improvement opportunities through various reports.
Your experience and qualifications:
- Certified 1st Class Power Engineer
- +8 years of experience leading the overall department
- +10 years of experience managing, training, and leading from the front
- Experience with the Forestry, Pulp, and Paper industries (open to reviewing Mining, O&G candidates with great leadership skills)
- Experience promoting safety culture in large manufacturing sites
- Strong knowledge of utility equipment, including powerhouses, boilers, and chillers
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- The ability to work collaboratively with engineers, technicians, and staff
Your Schedule:
Monday to Friday, day shift, with on-call availability 24/7
Salary Range: $160,000 - $192,000 + Benefits + Bonus + RRSP + Relocation Package
