About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Harvesting Labourer to join our team at KS Nurseries Ltd. in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply fertilizers to ensure optimal plant growth and health.
  • Clean the greenhouse to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications to ensure even growth and development.
  • Mix fertilizers according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Pack fruits and vegetables for distribution to market.
  • Remove manually all suckers and water sprouts to promote healthy plant growth.
  • Shear and shape trees and plants with a knife to maintain desired shapes and sizes.
  • Sort fruits and vegetables according to quality and type.
  • Tie and secure plants to prevent damage and promote healthy growth.
  • Train trees to produce more fruit of higher quality through pruning and other techniques.
  • Weeding to prevent competition for resources and promote healthy plant growth.
  • Clean the work area to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Examine product for quality and its readiness for the market to ensure high-quality produce.
Requirements
  • Experience an asset in a similar role.
