We are seeking a skilled Harvesting Labourer to join our team at KS Nurseries Ltd.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks related to harvesting and crop maintenance in our greenhouses and fields.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply fertilizers to ensure optimal crop growth
  • Clean and maintain greenhouses to prevent the spread of diseases
  • Examine products for quality and readiness for market
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications
  • Mix fertilizers according to instructions
  • Pack fruits and vegetables for distribution
  • Remove suckers and water sprouts from plants
  • Shear and shape trees and plants with a knife
  • Sort fruits and vegetables according to quality and type
  • Tie and secure plants to prevent damage
  • Train trees to produce higher quality fruit
  • Weeding and cleaning work areas
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures and odours.

Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Experience an asset
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labour
