Job Title: Mental Health Clinician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our Outpatient Mental Health and Addictions team at the Toronto Western Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will provide evidence-based treatment and psychoeducation to patients with mental health and addiction concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual psychotherapy sessions to patients addressing mental health and addiction care
  • Offer time-limited system navigation and psychoeducation related to mental health and addiction care
  • Co-facilitate psychotherapy groups, as assigned (e.g., Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Substance Use Disorders, Skills Coaching)
  • Conduct standardized assessments of concurrent disorders and other key mental health symptoms
  • Perform departmental responsibilities to contribute to the efficient and effective provision of services
  • Provide cross-coverage to other mental health and addictions services in the Centre for Mental Health

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Health and/or Social Sciences, with 3 years of practical experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 8-10 years of experience
  • Registration with an Ontario professional body authorized to perform psychotherapy
  • Experience working with individuals with substance use, depression, anxiety, trauma-related symptoms, and/or serious mental illness
  • Experience in providing virtual care for individual and group treatment
  • Certification in CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and/or DBT is an asset
