Job Title: Department Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Department Manager to join our team at Brunello Cucinelli. As a Department Manager, you will be responsible for leading the sales team and providing exceptional customer service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Performance: Maximize all selling opportunities to achieve (and exceed) individual sales goals and department sales goals.
  • Team Management: Manage and motivate sales team to provide the highest level of customer service.

  • Task Assignment: Assign and prioritize tasks and staff activities each day.
  • Visual Merchandising: Ensure visual merchandising standards are maintained throughout the day.
  • Decision Making: In absence of Store Manager: make decisions that positively impact the business.
  • Communication: Professionally communicate Store/Company objectives to team members.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of each sales associate and assess their contribution to store revenues.
  • Brand Ambassador: Act as a brand ambassador emulating the brand aesthetic and philosophy.
  • Relationship Building: Build effective working relationships with colleagues in other stores and Corporate Partners.
  • Company Policy: Follow all company policy and procedure and seek guidance when items are unclear.
  • Onboarding: Support Store Manager with onboarding new staff.
  • Accountability: Be accountable for all responsibilities, serving as a subject matter expert for corporate partners.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3-4 years experience in an equivalent role in a luxury environment.
  • Results Driven: Proven ability to meet business goals by driving results through store team.
  • Client Book: Existing client book or demonstrable ability to network and cultivate clients.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite; Outlook and Excel.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for multiple hours continuously and lift up to 40 pounds without assistance.
  • Schedule: Able to work a varied schedule each week including nights and weekends.
  • Attitude: Convey a positive can-do attitude towards tackling problems.
  • Feedback: Ability to seek feedback while maintaining confident direction.
  • Team Player: Team player who can thrive in a relationship-driven environment.
  • Product Passion: Passionate, driven, and motivated by product.
