About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our Indirect Sourcing team at The North West Company. As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in providing analytical and project management support to our sourcing leadership and assisting with category management activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement Vendor Management and Compliance Programs: Develop and execute vendor management and compliance programs, including Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and pricing for products and services.
  • Execute Category Management/Sourcing Analytics: Analyze market trends, assess supplier performance, and evaluate the impact of external factors on the procurement of products. Work with suppliers and cross-functional teams during testing of products or services. Compile scope of work and requirements, analyze and evaluate vendor proposals, and negotiate final commercial terms.
  • Provide Project Support and Communication: Offer project support and communication to category leaders, including project tracking, meeting minutes, and other relevant documentation.
  • Develop and Present Analysis: Develop and confidently present analysis – both quantitative and qualitative – to Procurement and Business leadership to obtain approval to award business.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required (major related to Management, Business, Economics, Supply-Chain, Finance, Accounting).
  • Experience: 1+ years of professional experience related to Sourcing & Category Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Analytics, or Management Consulting.
  • Skills: Strong analytical ability, strategic thinker, learn and process new information quickly. Ability to quickly capture, analyze, and summarize large data sets. Strong organization and project management skills. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks without direct supervision, while paying strong attention to detail and follow-up.
  • Personal Qualities: Intellectually curious, eager to gain new experiences, qualifications, and responsibilities. Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to confidently and expertly interact with internal and external stakeholders.
