Job Summary:

Hydro One Networks Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Support Analyst to join our team. As an Environmental Support Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day activities of the Hydro One Waste Hub, which manages the waste requirements of all Hydro One Line of Businesses across the province.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process administrative information and perform data processing assignments for work groups to produce reports and correspondence, including the input, output, verification, maintaining, and updating of data using various computer programs.
  • Work with external suppliers and internal clients to manage administrative activities related to hazardous and non-hazardous waste and related contracts.
  • Process invoices and service requests, and follow up on missing information with clients and suppliers as required.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes and legislation impacting the waste disposal industry, technologies, trends, and alternatives.
  • Assist in the development of specifications and descriptions of desired services to be used to contract services.
  • Set up and maintain organized filing systems, both digital and paper-based, and retain documents for required periods.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a 2-year Environmental Technology/Technician Program at the college level, with a curriculum focused on environmental principles, waste management processes, spill response, water pollution treatment control, and statistics analysis.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, with strong consulting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong working knowledge of SharePoint, Microsoft Office, and SAP is an asset.

  • Development of strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of current environmental regulations, including Ontario Regulations 347, 406, and 558.
