Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at TEEMA Group. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a critical role in supporting students' ability to participate fully in their educational environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Intervention: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' needs and develop individualized intervention plans to support their occupational performance.
  • Direct Therapy Services: Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in individual and group settings, adapting interventions to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring a cohesive and supportive educational environment.
  • Progress Monitoring and Documentation: Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting interventions as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Professional Development and Education: Educate school staff and parents on strategies to support students' occupational performance, promoting a culture of inclusivity and support.
  • Team Collaboration and Professionalism: Participate in team meetings, professional development, and other school activities, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in all professional activities.
Required Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy: Possess a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current State Licensure: Hold current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience in School Setting: Have experience working with children in a school setting, demonstrating a strong understanding of IEP processes and special education laws.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals.
Desired Qualifications
  • Certification in Pediatric Occupational Therapy: Possess certification in Pediatric Occupational Therapy, demonstrating expertise in working with children.
  • Experience with Sensory Integration Therapy: Have experience with sensory integration therapy, adapting interventions to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Knowledge of Assistive Technology and Adaptive Equipment: Possess knowledge of assistive technology and adaptive equipment, able to recommend and implement strategies to support students' occupational performance.
  • Ability to Work Effectively in a Multidisciplinary Team: Demonstrate the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, promoting a culture of collaboration and support.
  • Creative Problem-Solving Skills and Adaptability: Possess creative problem-solving skills and adaptability, able to adjust interventions to meet the unique needs of each student.
