Job Summary

TEEMA Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in the Kent School District. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing specially designed instruction and related services to students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluation and Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' occupational profiles, classroom environments, and sensory and motor performance deficits to identify areas of need.
  • Develop and Implement Intervention Plans: Create and implement occupational therapy intervention plans that include direct service, collaboration with classroom staff, and consultation/problem-solving.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to review evaluation results, integrate findings with other disciplines, and develop recommendations.
  • Adaptation and Modification: Adapt and modify the environment, including assistive technology and training, to support student access to education.
  • Supervision and Training: Supervise certified occupational therapy assistants in the implementation of occupational therapy services and provide in-service training to classroom teachers and paraprofessionals.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Possess a degree in Occupational Therapy and National Certification (NBCOT).
  • Licensure: Possess current Washington State Occupational Therapy license.
