Job Summary

The Government of Manitoba seeks a highly skilled Education and Communications Manager to lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Public Education and Stakeholder Information Program. This program aims to increase investor knowledge and competency, heighten public awareness of the Manitoba Financial Services Agency, and increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the agency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive education programs and initiatives for the general public, MFSA staff, and education systems in Manitoba and across Canada.
  • Communicate through various media channels, including social media, to detail MFSA bulletins, investor alerts, orders, decisions, and policy announcements.
  • Manage multiple projects within tight deadlines and work in a team environment with internal clients, project teams, external suppliers, and partners.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate paid advertising campaigns to promote the MFSA's public education and stakeholder information program.
Requirements
  • Master's degree or diploma in education or communications, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Extensive experience in education and communications, media relations, and issues management.
  • Strong negotiating skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Adobe products.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the securities industry or financial services industry.
