Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver - Long Haul to join our team at SGB FREIGHT SYSTEM. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials across various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Equipment: Ensure the proper functioning of the vehicle, including regular inspections and maintenance tasks.
  • Transport Goods and Materials: Safely transport goods and materials from one location to another, adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Communicate with Dispatch: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Record and Maintain Logs: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements
  • Valid AZ Class License: Possess a valid AZ class license and Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Driver's License: Hold a valid Class 1 or A driver's license.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a truck driver is an asset.
Working Conditions

This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to sit for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work in various weather conditions.
