About the Role:


We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Specialized Educator to join our team at Conway Workshop Association. As an integral member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with disabilities in their educational journey.


About You:


To be successful in this position, you must have a strong educational background, with a focus on working with individuals with special needs. Your experience in intensive behavioral intervention, as well as your Mandt System training, CPR certification, and First Aid certification, will serve as valuable assets in this role.


You must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, allowing you to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders. Additionally, your ability to work under pressure, think critically, and prioritize tasks efficiently will enable you to thrive in this fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:


Your primary responsibilities will include creating a safe and inclusive learning environment, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs, and collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement effective education plans. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, communicating with families and caregivers, and contributing to ongoing professional development within the organization.


Requirements:


To qualify for this role, you must have a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and relevant experience working with adults with disabilities. You should hold valid certifications, such as Intensive Behavioral Intervention Certification and Mandt System training. Your proficiency in English is essential, as you will need to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.


What We Offer:


In exchange for your dedication and expertise, we offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes dental, health care, and vision care benefits, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
