Job Summary:

As a skilled Welder Specialist at Groupe Fabmec ou Fabmec, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to metal fabrication and repair. With a focus on precision and quality, you will work with our team to deliver high-quality products that meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes to ensure accurate execution of tasks
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications, maintaining high-quality standards in all work
  • Perform maintenance and minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives, promoting a safe and healthy work environment
  • Participate in training and development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as green economy sector, custom fabrication, machinery or equipment repair, structural construction, factory assembly, and other areas of specialization

Requirements:

  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Proficiency in oxy-acetylene welding, shielded metal arc welding, gas metal arc welding, flux core arc welding, and other techniques
  • Experience with arc welding machine, brazing machine, gas welding machine, and soldering machine
  • Knowledge of green economy sector, custom fabrication, machinery or equipment repair, structural construction, factory assembly, and other areas of specialization
