About the Opportunity:

Perenti Group, a leading global mining services company, is seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team at the Hemlo Operations in Ontario, Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Electrician with Perenti Group, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems and equipment underground. Your duties will include:

  • Carrying out scheduled electrical servicing in accordance with manufacturer specifications, industry standards, and company procedures.
  • Identifying and organizing resources required for each job, including tools and equipment, to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
  • Completing service sheets and documenting additional repairs performed on each task.
  • Diagnosing and anticipating potential problems or failures and providing recommendations for solutions.
  • Reading and interpreting service and spare parts manuals.
  • Carrying out regular inspections of systems and required tools.
  • Completing daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required.
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping in the shop and at job sites.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum high school diploma or equivalency.
  • Demonstrated commitment to working safely and ensuring the safety of others.
  • An Ontario Provincial Trade License 309A (Red Seal preferred).
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working in an underground mine.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Strong communications skills, verbal and written, and must be computer/systems literate.
  • Ability to learn new tasks quickly and work in a cross-cultural environment.
