The Opportunity:

  • Open to residents of Canada
  • Travel assistance, camp accommodations, and meals provided

As a Heavy-Duty Mechanic with the Perenti Group, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy-duty equipment underground at the Hemlo Operations. This is a unique opportunity to work with a diverse team and contribute to the success of a global mining services company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work safely and efficiently while practicing good housekeeping
  • Service, perform PMs, and mechanical repairs on underground CAT and Sandvick mobile mining equipment
  • Identify and report required parts and materials needed to complete the job

Requirements:

  • Commitment to working safely while ensuring the safety of others
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalency
  • Ontario Provincial or Inter-Provincial (Red Seal) Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician trade license required (421A)
  • Strong computer skills
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working in a fast-paced underground mine environment
  • Strong communications, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment
  • Willingness to share knowledge and have an open mind to learning new skills

Selection Criteria:

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment Fit-for-Duty medical, including alcohol and drug screening
