About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Risk Manager to join our team at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA. As a key member of our Risk Management Department, you will play a critical role in evaluating and mitigating cybersecurity risks across our organization.

Responsibilities
  1. Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate cybersecurity threats.
  2. Collaborate with our Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and IT teams to establish and maintain robust cybersecurity controls.
  3. Develop and implement effective risk management programs, leveraging industry-standard frameworks such as FAIR.
  4. Provide independent assurance and validation of cybersecurity controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  5. Identify emerging cyber threats and develop strategies to address them.
  6. Lead and support remediation efforts, working closely with stakeholders to implement effective solutions.
  7. Develop and maintain tools for aggregating and surveilling cybersecurity risk, data risk, and technology risk.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory requirements, ensuring our organization remains compliant and secure.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a relevant technical field.
  • Strong understanding of financial services and cybersecurity regulations, including NYSDFS, ECB, GDPR, GLBA, and Regulation S-P.
  • Experience in assessing design and operating effectiveness of technology controls.
  • Solid foundation in information technology and information security principles, with knowledge of common cybersecurity frameworks and standards.
  • Previous experience in cybersecurity operations and relevant security design knowledge.
  • Background in IT risk assessment, IT audit, and information security management.
  • Experience integrating vulnerability and patch management tools with IT/IS risk programs.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead by influence.
