Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Southbridge Care Homes. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional resident care and promoting a culture of excellence in nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resident Care
    • Deliver high-quality nursing care to residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
    • Monitor and report vital signs, symptoms, and conditions, and initiate remedial health measures as needed.
  • Leadership and Teamwork
    • Organize and direct functions and activities related to resident care, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services.
    • Assist in the management of nursing and personal care staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Training and Development
    • Train and mentor new staff members, promoting a culture of learning and professional growth.
    • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and industry developments.
  • Qualifications and Requirements
    • Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
    • Registration/eligibility for registration with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario.
    • Previous experience in long-term care, with comprehensive knowledge of duties and responsibilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams.
