Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Transport Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at Summit Trailer Ltd. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in repairing and maintaining commercial transport vehicles, with a focus on ensuring the highest level of safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and maintain commercial transport vehicles, including trucks and trailers, to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to identify faults and malfunctions, and make necessary repairs.
  • Discuss work with supervisors to ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance services to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications.
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed.
  • Coach and instruct apprentices in the art of commercial transport vehicle maintenance.
Requirements
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate in commercial transport vehicle maintenance.
  • 5 years or more of experience in the field.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial transport vehicle systems and components.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
