About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at KALSI BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION LTD. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, cutting and fitting them to meet specific requirements, and ensuring a smooth finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cut and Install Drywall Sheets: Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets to meet specific requirements, ensuring a precise fit and smooth finish.
  • Protect Exterior Corners: Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and prevent damage.
  • Fill Joints and Holes: Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife, ensuring a smooth finish.
  • Tape and Embed Tape: Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound, ensuring a strong bond.
  • Smooth and Finish: Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry, ensuring a smooth finish.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Will train, but prior experience in drywall installation is an asset.
  • Health and Financial Benefits: Health care plan, life insurance, and other benefits, including free parking available.
  • Work Environment: 40 to 50 hours per week, with a permanent employment duration.
  • Language: English.
