About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at KM RENOVATIONS. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, taping joints, and applying successive coats of compound to ensure a smooth finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install drywall sheets and secure them to metal or wooden studs or joists
  • Tape joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
Work Environment

You will be working in a fast-paced commercial and residential construction environment, with various locations and tight deadlines. As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will be required to work at heights, bend, crouch, and kneel frequently.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation or a related field
  • Ability to work at heights and in a physically demanding environment
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors
