Job Summary

Kiera Transportation Ltd. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning and Optimization
    • Plan and adjust routes to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions using computer equipment and GPS devices.
  • Customer Service and Communication
    • Provide exceptional customer service and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Vehicle Maintenance and Inspection
    • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and perform regular inspections to ensure it is in good working order.
    • Perform emergency roadside repairs and maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Logistics and Record-Keeping
    • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Hold a valid AZ class license and Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Accurately complete accident or incident reports, driver logbooks, and inspection reports.
  • Physical Demands and Work Environment
    • Work in a physically demanding environment, handling heavy loads and working long hours.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Excellent oral communication skills.
    • Judgment and reliability.
    • Ability to work as part of a team.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position with a 32-44 hour workweek. The work environment is physically demanding, and the role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
