Job Description

Job Title: Global Benefits Strategist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Benefits Strategist to join our team at Tailscale. As a key member of our People Operations team, you will be responsible for driving the strategic evolution and execution of our global benefits programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement global benefits strategies to ensure we remain competitive in the market.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement benefits programs that meet the needs of our diverse workforce.
  • Manage the day-to-day administration of benefits, including leave of absence requests and disability paperwork.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and regional provider rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Develop and maintain global system processes related to talent acquisition, employee lifecycle, learning and professional development programs, talent management, and onboarding-related IT processes.
  • Review benefit compliance and record/report benefit compliance in an accurate way.
  • Automate reporting to keep our business informed and enlightened on employee trends.
  • Act as first line support for employees regarding their people program and benefits needs.

Requirements:

  • Experience administering benefits plans, especially in troubleshooting enrollment data processes and answering advanced employee questions.
  • Ability to manage effectively with ambiguity, manage multiple projects through completion on time and on budget, and to prioritize in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Startup experience is needed/preferred/required.
  • Passion for benefit program development and policy improvements.
  • Proficiency in HRIS, benefit administration, and ATS platforms.
  • High level business acumen, discretion, and analytical/technical skills.
  • Working knowledge of US federal, state, and local employment laws, in addition to CAN & UK employment & benefits compliance regulations to support compliant practices.
