Aerospace Structures Design Engineering Manager

We are seeking an experienced Manager to lead our team of Integration specialists in the design of our product portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Aerospace Structures Design and Management, with a proven track record of leading teams of engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a team of Integration specialists to design and develop our product portfolio.
  2. Collaborate with internal and external suppliers to ensure seamless integration.
  3. Work closely with platform leaders to align priorities and make informed decisions.
  4. Manage the Engineering Statement of Work and budget.
  5. Perform employee performance reviews and make salary recommendations.
  6. Participate in recruitment and integration of new employees.
  7. Attend management meetings and organize departmental governance.
  8. Communicate effectively and support decisions and messages to and from management.
  9. Implement a management system to organize and control tasks and priorities.
  10. Support employees to achieve their goals and deliverables through coaching, mentoring, and training.
  11. Deploy Lessons Learned and Best Project Practices.
  12. Provide support for Production and In-Service resolution of issues.
  13. Develop and evaluate employees.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, with Aerospace specialty an asset.
  2. Approximately 20 years of experience in the Aerospace industry, with at least three years of supervisory experience.
  3. Knowledge of design tools and MRB.
  4. Experience in multi-disciplinary designs and manufacturing methods.
  5. Strong people management and leadership qualities, with ability to mobilize and foster teamwork.
  6. Demonstrated leadership behaviours that support putting people first, teamwork, and performance excellence.
  7. Pro-active, results-oriented, and innovative, with a view for business improvement.
  8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to influence and build consensus.
  9. Fluency in English.
