Aerospace Structures Design Manager

Our client, a leading aerospace company based in Canada, is seeking an experienced Manager of Aircraft Structures Design to join their team.
This is a highly responsible role that requires a strong leader with a proven track record of managing teams of engineers and overseeing complex projects.
- Manage the Engineering Statement of Work
- Manage the engineering budget and spend for the department
- Perform employee performance reviews and make salary review recommendations
- Ensure that the management system is in place to organize and control tasks and priorities
- Support employees to enable them to reach their goals and deliverables
- Responsible for deployment of Lessons Learned and Best Project Practices
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline, with approximately 20 years of experience working with multidisciplinary and technically complex projects in the aerospace industry. They will also have strong people management and leadership qualities, with the ability to mobilize and foster an environment of teamwork within cross-functional teams.
The candidate must be fluent in English and have a strong understanding of design tools and multi-disciplinary designs. They will also have experience in managing budgets and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
